About Us

Welcome!

This website is owned and maintained by Michelle L. Riley, d/b/a Alabama Notary and Process Server, and d/b/a Notaries for Alabama.

Alabama's notary laws changed July 1, 2021, allowing commissioned notaries to conduct a unique and complicated type of remote notarization, a/k/a Remote Ink-Signed Notarization.

Our organization will use this website to help educate the general public, notaries, and legal professionals about  process.  Michelle is one of a handful of Alabama notaries who have the training, knowledge and experience to correctly perform the only type of remote notarization authorized by the State of Alabama.

You can follow us here by reading our blog. We will also provide updates on our Notaries for Alabama Youtube Channel.

Please use the Contact Us button below if you have questions or requests.

Do You Need a Remote Notarization?

We Can Help!

Effective July 1, 2022, Michelle will start offering Remote Ink-Signed Notarizations that fall within the following parameters:

  • Signers must be able to speak, read and comprehend English.
  • Signers must be able to show the notary two (2) forms of government ID.
  • Notary must further verify Signers' identities by reviewing public or private data sources.
  • Signers must be familiar with using the application "Zoom Meeting".

It's important that signers understand that Alabama's remote notary laws are very different from remote laws in other states.  For more information about this type of notarization and whether or not it can be used for your situation, please use the Contact Us button to email the notary.

Michelle L. Riley is a Commissioned Alabama Notary Public, with seventeen years of notary experience.  She completed numerous remote notarizations for Alabama residents during the height of the COVID Pandemic.  She is also an Alabama Licensed Private Investigator - #584.  She is also the owner of Alabama Notary & Process Server.
